START-NÖ und START-OÖ haben gemeinsam mit Alumna Soso den Vormittag genutzt, um an ihrer mündlichen Ausdrucksfähigkeit auf Englisch zu arbeiten. Über welche Themen diskutiert wurde, berichten Atefe (START-OÖ) und Ragad (START-NÖ):
"Heute haben wir in „English with Soso“ über unsere Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft diskutiert. Zum Beispiel was wir aus der Vergangenheit gelernt haben und welche Lektionen eine wichtige Rolle für uns spielt. Das Prinzip war die richtigen Zeitformen in Englisch zu verwenden. Zunächst diskutierten wir, was wir ändern würden, wenn wir zum Beispiel einen Weltführer seien könnten. Zuletzt redeten wir über Hektik, das heißt über Menschen, die immer produktive arbeiten und Freizeit für sie keine Bedeutung hat. Mir hat die Monolog über Hektik „Hustle Culture“ am meisten gefallen, weil Hustle Culture in der heutigen Gesellschaft für viele eine wichtige Rolle spielt." - Atefe
"I wrote this report in English because it was an English workshop. So, on Sunday Jan. 9th, 2022, START NÖ and START OÖ had an amazing workshop with Soso. It began at 10:30 a.m. and we talked about different topics such as how we imagine our future would look like or what happened in our lives up until today. Another topic was “If I could change anything in the world, it would be…” and there so many ideas about how to improve the world. I really loved this topic because we had a long discussion about it. Some Stipis want to change sexism between women and men for example at the workplace. I wanted to change the school system. We also talked about problems in the society and why people think the way they do. I never had such a good conversation in English, but this workshop changed that. Soso is the nicest person and talking to her makes so much fun. I never imagined that talking in English would be so relaxing and surprisingly not stressing. It was awesome because everyone got the chance to talk and Soso, the leader of the workshop, corrected our mistakes. I had so much fun talking to her and to the others." - Ragad
